David Mok

David Mok is currently an advisor at NEMIC Foundation. Prior to that, they were the director of pricing for Verizon Business Group from January 2020 to December 2021. At Verizon, they were responsible for managing a $5M OPEX, $15B revenue goal, and over 20 employees. David led the mobile wireless, telematics, fixed wireless, & fiber optics pricing and promotions strategy.

During their time at Verizon, David was able to successfully lead their team and coach them to be better pricing advocates. David also worked on operational optimization and was able to get the pricing team more involved in the product development process. Lastly, they worked on the revenue and sales capture strategy. David was able to successfully raise the price of an underpriced high tier plan, eliminate unnecessary discounting, and trim back an overly rich high tier plan. These changes improved future profit attainment worth tens of millions of dollars.

David Mok has a background in mechanical engineering, which they studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology and Penn State University. David then went on to get their MBA in entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After working in business for a number of years, David Mok decided to go back to school and study under renowned professors such as Clayton Christensen and Michael Porter at Harvard Business School Executive Education. David is now an adjunct lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
