Mario Hupfeld

Mario Hupfeld has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In 2018, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of NEMIS Technologies AG. Prior to that, they were a PostDoc at ETH Zürich from 2013-2018, where they also completed their PhD Thesis (Dr. sc.) titled "Molecular and structural characterization of Listeria bacteriophage-host interactions and the identification of a novel CRISPR-Cas system for the modification of virulent bacteriophage" in the Group of Food Microbiology, Prof. Dr. Martin Loessner. Additionally, they were a visiting scientist at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne from 2013-2018, where they were involved in a cooperation project for their PhD thesis, attending regular meetings and laboratory work in Lausanne in the Group of Structural Biology, Prof.

Mario Hupfeld obtained their Dr. sc. in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from ETH Zürich in 2018, following their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Life Science from the University of Konstanz in 2013.
