Tom S.

Tom S. has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. Tom is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Nemodata, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2020, Tom worked as a self-employed Technology Advisor, helping start-ups in areas such as AI, SaaS, Industry 4.0, and bio-tech. Tom also provided advice to angel investors on the feasibility of these start-ups.

Tom's previous roles include being a Co-Founder and CTO at Jugumi, an AI-driven collaborative platform, from March 2017 to August 2019. At Jugumi, they were responsible for designing and developing the algorithmic infrastructure and modeling. Tom also led the development team during the roll-out of their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and Alpha versions.

Before Jugumi, Tom served as the Chief Technology Officer at Healios Biologics, a BioMed startup, from 2017 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for data infrastructure and developing core algorithms. Earlier in their career, Tom worked as a Researcher at Tel Aviv University from March 2009 to March 2012.

Additionally, Tom has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder and CEO of Olam Hadash, a non-profit company that focused on helping underprivileged children develop self-confidence and social skills through role-playing and games. Tom also managed the activities of Olam Hadash, created content, trained instructors, and supervised their work. This role lasted from 2005 to 2012, and the company operated in 20 schools and community centers. Olam Hadash collaborated with ELEM, an Israeli youth in distress NGO, during this time.

Tom S. began their education at Tel Aviv University in 2009, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Physics. Tom completed this program in 2012. Following that, Tom started their PhD studies at the same institution, specializing in Chemical Physics and Optogenetics. However, their PhD program has been put on hold since 2017.
