Michael Brumund

Michael Brumund currently serves as the Director of Adult Congenital Cardiology at Nemours since February 2023 and is recognized as a fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital cardiologist. Prior to this role, Brumund held multiple positions at Children's Hospital in New Orleans from January 2017 to February 2023, including Director of Outpatient, Ambulatory and Regional Cardiology and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Cardiology. Additionally, Brumund was the Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease at a combined program with the Children's Hospital and University Medical Center, and founded the Congenital Heart Foundation of Louisiana. Earlier experience includes serving as a pediatric cardiologist and intensivist at various institutions, including Pediatric Cardiology Associates of Louisiana and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Brumund earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and completed a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship.
