Nuno Faria

Nuno is currently Chief Scientific Officer at NoBACZ Healthcare Ltd. He worked with Professor Powel at the Bio-Mineral Research at the MRC’s Human Nutrition Research (‘‘HNR’’) Elsie Widdowson Laboratory in Cambridge, where his work focused on the absorption of iron and diagnosis and treatment of iron deficiency; the role of minerals, in inflammatory and anti-inflammatory processes of the gastrointestinal tract and the development of novel mineral-based therapeutics. Dr Faria contributed to invention of the patented technology behind IHAT which Nemysis Ltd acquired the licence from the MRC in late 2017.
