NENA: The 9-1-1 Association
Kate Pataran has over 18 years of work experience in the field of emergency communications. Kate currently holds the position of 2nd Vice President at NENA: The 9-1-1 Association since January 2023. Prior to this, Kate worked at the Halton Regional Police Service for 16 years, where they served as Communications Supervisor from June 2019 and as a Communicator from September 2003 to May 2019.
Kate Pataran, ENP, has a diverse education history. Kate completed a Leadership Essentials - Certificate Program from McMaster University Continuing Education in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Family Mediation - Certificate Program from McMaster University Continuing Education in 2007. In terms of formal education, Kate earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus on Childhood and Family Relations from Western University between 1999 and 2003. Kate also pursued a 4-year Honours Degree in Childhood & Family Relations and a 3-year Psychology Degree from the same institution. Additionally, Kate holds the Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification from NENA: The 9-1-1 Association.
