Alon Mozes is the current CEO and co-founder of Neocis, a medical technology company that specializes in image-guided surgery. Prior to Neocis, Alon was a consultant for medical imaging and image processing software applications. Alon has also worked as a software engineer for MAKO Surgical Corp., where they worked on the ground-breaking robotic surgery system, RIO, for orthopedic surgery. In 2008, MAKO had an IPO and was acquired by Stryker for $1.65B. Alon has also worked as a software engineer for Parallele Biosciences (Affymetrix), where they developed software for Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) for massively paralleled genetic sequencing. The company was acquired by Affymetrix. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Sportvision.
Alon Mozes has a Master of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology also in Computer Science, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami.
