Patrik Fröjd

Patrik Fröjd has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Patrik currently works as a Machine Learning Consultant at Verisure and Neodev AB, where they utilize their expertise in machine learning algorithms and toolkits. Previously, they worked at Volvo Cars as a Data Scientist, contributing to data analysis and insight generation. Prior to that, they were an Algorithm Developer at Hövding Sverige AB, specializing in accident detection algorithms for airbag helmets. Patrik has also worked as a PhD Candidate at Lund University, focusing on automatic damage detection in concrete structures using ultrasonic signals. Additionally, they have experience as a Development Engineer at Gambro, where they contributed to the development of automated test frameworks for dialysis equipment. Patrik started their career as a Biomedical Engineer at Skånes universitetssjukhus (Skåne University Hospital), working on R&D projects for biomedical products, and later as a Research Engineer, conducting research for their master's thesis. During their studies at Lund University, they also worked as a Project Employee, assisting in a research project on characterizing microscopic roughness of surfaces using ultrasound.

Patrik Fröjd has a strong education background in engineering and structural health monitoring. Patrik obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Structural Health Monitoring from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, from the years 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Licentiate degree in Structural Health Monitoring from the same institution, from 2013 to 2016.

Before pursuing their advanced degrees, Patrik completed their Master's degree in Engineering Physics at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, spanning from 2006 to 2010. As for their high school education, they received a degree in Natural Sciences from Allvar Gullstrandsgymnasiet, from the years 2003 to 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Patrik Fröjd has also acquired certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Patrik obtained the Azure AI Fundamentals AI-900 certification from Microsoft in July 2022 and the Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification from Google Cloud in April 2021.
