Erik Holmgren

Erik Holmgren is a seasoned scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist in the Therapeutic Immune Design Unit at the Karolinska Institutet's Department of Clinical Neuroscience and at the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Unit in the Department of Medicine Solna, positions held since February 2009. In addition, Erik has been a Senior Scientist at NEOGAP Therapeutics AB since February 2021. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Biovitrum from August 2001 to February 2009, and Senior Scientist and Group Leader in various capacities at Pharmacia and Pharmacia&Upjohn from 1987 to 2001. Erik began a career in molecular biology as Head of Prokaryotic Molecular Biology at KabiGen from 1987 to 1989. Erik holds a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Karolinska Institutet (1974-1979) and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Stockholm University (1969-1973).
