Kamran Alam

Kamran Alam is a Senior Strategic Advisor at Neoleukin. Kamran has over 20 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on business development, finance, and strategy.

Kamran Alam began their career in the biotech industry in 2001 as a Senior Associate at Micrologix Biotech Inc. Kamran then moved to AnorMED Inc (Genzyme Corp) in 2004, where they served as Manager of Business Development until 2006. In 2007, they joined Angiotech Pharmaceuticals as Senior Manager of Business Development. Kamran left Angiotech in 2008 to join the Center for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) as Director of Business Development. From 2010 to 2011, they were Senior Director of Business Development at Sirius Genomics. Kamran then joined Aquinox Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 2011, a position they held until 2019. In August 2019, they became a Senior Strategic Advisor at Neoleukin Therapeutics.
