Gerhard du Plessis is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of structural and bridge engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at NEOM since May 2024, Gerhard has held several prominent roles, including Director at SOFiSTiK Southern Africa since 2009, and Technical Director at WSP in Australia from 2018 to 2024. Previously, Gerhard owned and directed Superstructures Consulting Engineers, a specialist bridge design firm, from 2008 to 2024, and served as Director in the Bridge Department at ARQ Consulting Engineers from 2008 to 2013.
