Ana Grant, Ph.D.

Ana Grant, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of data sciences and bioinformatics. Ana is currently the VP of Data Sciences at Neomorph, Inc. since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director and Head of Data Sciences at the same company from April 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Neomorph, Inc., Ana worked at Synthetic Genomics where they held several roles including Director of Research Informatics from 2019 to 2021, Head of Research Informatics in 2019, and Data Scientist II from 2017 to 2019.

Ana also has experience in the academic sector, having worked as the Bioinformatics Manager in the Epigenomics Core at Michigan Medicine from 2016 to 2017, and as a Research Faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School from 2012 to 2016.

Ana's early career includes a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from 2007 to 2011, and a role as a Bioinformatics Analyst at deCODE genetics in 2000.

Ana Grant, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree with a focus on Chemistry (Bioinformatics) from the University of York. Ana also obtained a Master of Science - MRes degree in Bioinformatics from the same institution. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science - BSc degree in Genetics from the University of Leeds. Ana also has a certification in Python Programming Track from DataCamp.
