Stas Kelvich is currently a Co-Founder at Neon. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Yandex from April 2020 to March 2021. Stas worked on the Yandex database team. Before that, they were a Software Engineer at Postgres Professional from March 2015 to April 2020. Stas worked on hacking Postgres clustering, developing a fault-tolerant replication mechanism for Postgres, cross-node snapshot isolation transactions for vanilla Postgres using loosely synchronized clocks, and an Epoll-based pub/sub queue on top of Postgres wire protocol to handle internal cluster communications. Stas has also done various smaller projects such as speeding up 2PC, fixing logical replication, and developing a compressed cube data type. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Undev.ru from March 2011 to April 2011 and a Software Developer at Beanovision Productions from June 2010 to March 2011. Stas also did research in atomic physics group at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute from October 2013 to March 2015.

Stas Kelvich received their Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). Stas also received their Bachelor's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the same school.
