Aakash Shah

Co-founder of NeonVest, Aakash heads up startup curation, evaluation and onboarding, investor interaction, and tech. He spends a good part of his time discussing strategy and growth hacks with Surya.

Previously, Aakash was a Principal at Sattva Capital, a Mumbai-based, multi-stage private investment office, where he led its early-stage ventures arm, and remains affiliated with its Series A, thematic VC Fund - Peak Venture Partners. His core domain expertise included consumer tech, fintech, sustainability, and new technologies.

Prior to that, he worked at Accion Venture Lab - a Washington D.C.-based, fintech-oriented VC fund - where he was responsible for startups in the Asia portfolio. Aakash started his career at Aksia, a $150bn AUA New York-based hedge fund advisory firm, where he evaluated and recommended hedge funds to institutional clients.

He graduated with a B.Sc from the NYU Stern School of Business, with a double major in Finance and International Business, and a minor in Philosophy.
