Thomas Nenning's work experience includes roles as Head of Digital Services at neoom since January 2023 and Solutions Architect at K-Businesscom AG from January 2021 to December 2022. In their role at K-Businesscom AG, they analyzed processes in manufacturing for industrial clients, developed and implemented digitalization projects, and strategically and technically built the portfolio elements of the Digital Factory. Prior to this, they worked as a Specialist in Energy Supply at E-Control Austria from April 2020 to December 2020, where they participated in European regulatory bodies and represented the interests of E-Control in European working groups. Additionally, Thomas Nenning worked as a Hardware Genius at LR Innovation Lab from September 2016 to March 2020, where they further developed a product prototype for serial production, managed the CE and UL certification, and established the company's own production site. Thomas also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien from May 2012 to May 2015.

Thomas Nenning's education history starts with their Matura degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology from HTL Rennweg, which they earned between 2000 and 2005. Thomas then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field from Fachhochschule Technikum Wien, attending from 2006 to 2008. Thomas continued their academic journey by enrolling at Technische Universität Wien, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology from 2008 to 2012. Thomas further advanced their education at the same university, completing their doctoral studies and earning a Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology between 2012 and 2015. Following their doctoral degree, Thomas took a break from formal education to embark on a world trip in 2015. During this time, they achieved the honorary title of "Master of Inspiration" in Cultural Exchange & Happiness.
