Antonio Speziale

Antonio Speziale, MD, is a highly experienced medical affairs professional with a comprehensive background in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs Europe at Neopharmed Gentili S.P.A. since October 2025, Antonio previously held the positions of Vice President of Medical Affairs Europe and EMEA and Senior Medical Director at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals from January 2023 to October 2025. Prior roles include Chief Medical Officer at Enthera Pharmaceuticals, Translational Medicine Leader at Galapagos, and various senior roles at Novartis, where responsibilities included Global Program Clinical Head for Autoimmunity and Skeletal Diseases. Antonio’s extensive experience also encompasses leadership positions at Shire, Genzyme Europe BV, and Pfizer. Antonio earned a degree in Medicine & Surgery with a focus on Surgery & Transplantation from Sapienza Università di Roma between 1983 and 1998.
