Sebastian Kaessner has been in the professional world since 2001, beginning their career as a Senior Product Manager at Drager Medical GmbH. In 2005, they moved to Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA as Sales Marketing Manager Critical Care and Neonatal Care Region South-East Europe. In 2006, they were promoted to President Strategic Business Field Respiratory Care at Dräger Medical. In 2013, they moved to the same company as Chief Marketing Officer - Segment Management and Strategic Marketing. From 2015 to 2016, they were an Independent Consultant at P3 OSTO GmbH, a Managing Partner at TriOptoTec GmbH, and an Associate at NEXTBRAND GmbH. In 2018, they became Director Digital Business Solutions at Paul Hartmann AG and in 2020, Chief Marketing Officer at SLM Solutions. Currently, they are Global Head of Sales and Marketing at NeoPrediX AG.

Sebastian Kaessner attended Technische Universität Darmstadt from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur/Joint Masters Degree in Engineering and Business Administration with a focus on Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. Sebastian also attended Linköping University from 1996 to 1997, studying Management and Logistics.
