John Panton

Chief Quality Officer at Neovasc

John Panton is the current Chief Quality Officer at Neovasc. Prior to this, they were the Global Director of Quality Systems at Verathon Inc from August 2013 to April 2015.

John has over 25 years of experience in quality assurance and engineering. John started their career as an Engineer at GEC Avionics from January 1986 to December 1988. John then moved on to Thorn EMI Central Research Laboratories as a Research Engineer from January 1989 to December 1992. In January 1993, they joined AVX Tantalum Division as a Senior Development Engineer and worked there until December 1999.

John then joined Nortel Networks Optical Components as an R&D Development Engineer in January 1999. While there, they were responsible for New Product Introduction. John left Nortel Networks in December 2003 and joined Bookham Technology as an Engineering Team Leader in January 2003. In October 2005, they became the Quality Assurance Manager at Photon Control Inc.

From May 2009 to July 2013, John was the Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs/ Quality Assurance at Verathon Medical Canada. John then joined Verathon Inc as the Global Director of Quality Systems in August 2013 and held that position until April 2015 when they became the Chief Quality Officer at Neovasc.

John Panton has a post graduate diploma in microelectronics technology and applications from Middlesex University in England. John also has a HND in physics from Portsmouth Polytechnic. John is a certified manager of quality / organizational excellence from ASQ.

John Panton reports to Fred Colen, President & CEO. They work with Lisa Becker - VP, Regulatory Affairs, Bill Little - COO, and Sarah Gallagher - VP, Clinical Affairs.
