Niraj Shah has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry. Niraj served as the VP of Market Development at Neptune Medical starting in 2018. Prior to that, Shah was the Founding Principal of Global MedTech Advisors from 2016 to 2018, where they focused on developing and executing global commercialization strategies for medical technology companies. Niraj also co-founded and served as CEO of TransClose Medical Inc., a private medical device company, from 2016 to 2017. Shah held the position of Sr. Director International Sales and Business Development at TriVascular, Inc. from 2013 to 2016. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Maquet Getinge Group as the Vice President Global Sales - Cardiac Surgery and Director International Sales. Before that, Shah had roles at Guidant Corp., including Manager - International Marketing from 2005 to 2008 and Public Policy Manager from 2004 to 2005. Niraj started their career as a Field Clinical Research Associate at Guidant Corp. in 1998 and also held positions as a Global Product Manager and R&D Engineer/Project Leader. Additionally, Shah completed a summer internship at InControl Inc. in 1996.
Niraj Shah completed their education in a chronological order, starting with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. From 1990 to 1995, they pursued a 5 Year Integrated M.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering. Following this, from 1995 to 1998, they attended the University of Washington for their MS degree in Bioengineering. Lastly, from 2002 to 2004, they studied at The Wharton School, where they obtained an MBA degree with a focus on Healthcare Management.
