DSP FPGA Signal Processing Engineer at Neptune Technology Group

John Pajunen is an experienced engineer specializing in digital signal processing (DSP) and firmware development. Currently serving as an R&D DSP Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory since June 2016, John focuses on low-level signal processing algorithms for advanced X-Band phased array radar systems. Concurrently, John holds the position of DSP FPGA Signal Processing Engineer at Neptune Technology Group, responsible for high-density FPGA-based software defined radio systems. Previous roles include DSP Engineer at Motorola Solutions, where John contributed to the integration of PHY and MAC layer codes for public safety radio systems, and at BAE Systems, where John analyzed non-traditional RF signals. John’s career began at Harris Corporation, working in R&D for JTRS receivers, following a technical recruiting role at MISource. John holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a focus on Communication Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University.
