Head Of Discovery And Highlight Science at NERC: Natural Environment Research Council

Vicki Durbridge has a diverse work experience history. Vicki started their career as an Editorial Assistant at the Society for Endocrinology in 2005. Vicki then moved on to work as a Production Editor at Taylor & Francis Group from 2006 to 2008. Durbridge's next role was as an Endocrinology Technician at Chester Zoo from 2010 to 2011. Vicki then became a Freelance Copyeditor, self-employed, from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, Durbridge joined the NERC: Natural Environment Research Council as a Science Programme Officer and later as a Senior Science Programme Officer in marine sciences. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Senior Programme Manager, overseeing Doctoral Training until 2019. Durbridge continued to climb the ranks within NERC, ultimately serving as the Head of Discovery and Highlight Science starting in 2022.

Vicki Durbridge pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2002 to 2005, they enrolled at the University of Bristol, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and Psychology, with a special focus on joint honors. After a brief break, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued further education at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they successfully completed their Master's Degree in Animal Behaviour.
