Nicole O'Hearne

Nicole O'Hearne, P.E. (CA) is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in engineering, viticulture, and event management. As the Founder and Logistics Manager of the Ōtautahi chapter of Nerd Nite since July 2021, Nicole coordinates speaker engagements and manages event logistics. Previous roles include Cellar Hand positions at Heitz Cellar and Church Road Winery, where Nicole optimized production processes and actively contributed to safety practices. With a strong background in structural engineering as a Structural Design Engineer at Holmes Consulting (NZ) and Structural Designer at Holmes Structures, Nicole managed significant projects and provided innovative design solutions. Educational credentials include a Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology from Lincoln University, an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, an MSc in Earthquake Engineering from Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori, and a BS in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University.
