Marco Bernasconi

Marco Bernasconi has extensive experience in engineering and technology management, holding prominent roles such as VP of Engineering and Data Science at Nerdy (December 2023 - July 2025) and Director of Technology at GoDaddy (July 2022 - November 2023). Prior to these positions, Marco served as Senior Director of Technology at Expedia Group from January 2016 to July 2022, where responsibilities included both senior and director-level technology roles. Earlier career highlights encompass a tenure at Orbitz Worldwide, progressing from Operations Manager to Director of Operations and Software Engineering Manager between April 2013 and December 2015. Marco's foundational experience includes serving as a Special Operations Specialist in the Italian Army from November 1996 to December 1998. Academically, Marco earned a PhD in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, completing the latter in January 2010.
