Sean Wood

Sean Wood is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Head of Hardware at Neros Technologies since March 2024, Sean is dedicated to developing high-performance, remote, and autonomous systems aimed at enhancing soldier safety. Prior to this position, Sean held various roles at SpaceX from September 2011 to March 2024, including Manager of Solar and Battery Engineering for Starlink and Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Flight Termination System. Sean's academic background includes both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, where innovative projects such as an Automatic Meat Casing Remover and Mozart's Right Hand instrument were developed. Additionally, Sean founded Penta Printing Co. and worked as a Co-op Engineer at ITW Tech Center, further demonstrating a strong foundation in design, prototyping, and collaboration within engineering environments.
