Poul Bjarne Nielsen has worked as a Senior Software Developer at Nerve Smart Systems since 2020. From 2013 to 2020, they worked as a Research Development Software Firmware Engineer at Dialight, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of embedded applications for proprietary and third-party HW platforms. Poul Bjarne also participated in the development of an Ethernet based wind farm Avi/Navi beacon monitoring system, embedded devices, installed in the world's largest wind farm, "Hornsea 1". From 1998 to 2013, they worked as a Research Development Software Firmware FPGA Engineer at Shure Scandinavia A/S, where they were responsible for designing, implementing and testing firmware for the proprietary embedded platform in Shure’s digital conference system and for windows applications for test and configuration of the system. Poul Bjarne was also responsible for low-level design of the systems backbone-network and implementation of FPGA devices for generating the low-level communication on this network, with one of these DSC6000 systems installed in the Danish Parliament.
Poul Bjarne Nielsen obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.E.) from the DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 1997.
