Moran Snir has a long and varied work experience. In 2000, they began their career as a Lieutenant in the Israeli Air Force Computer Corps, where they were promoted to team leader and received the Personal Excellence Award for outstanding performance. In 2004, they co-founded MorNetware, a genetic services and software provider. From 2013-2019, they worked at Medtronic, where they held two roles: Sr. Manager, Strategy & Portfolio Management, and Business Development, Endovascular Therapies. In 2016, they founded and served as CEO of Clear Genetics (YC W17), which was later acquired by Invitae. In 2019, they became Head of Emerging Platforms, Data & SaaS and Product at Invitae. In 2020, they joined GeneMatters as a Board Member. Finally, in 2022, they co-founded Nest Genomics (YC W22) and currently serves as the CEO.
Moran Snir began their educational career in 2000, when they attended the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) School of Computer Training (Mamram) to study computers and engineering. Moran then attended the Israeli Defense Force Officers Academy from 2001 to 2002. From 2005 to 2008, they attended Tel Aviv University, where they earned a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering. Moran then returned to Tel Aviv University from 2008 to 2010, earning an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering. Finally, they attended The Wharton School from 2011 to 2013, earning an MBA in Health Care Management.
