Sami Saaresto

Sami Saaresto is a financial professional with extensive experience in business finance and controlling. Currently serving as Controller for Neste in the US since May 2022, Sami is involved in group fixed cost analysis and cost controlling, as well as group function cost allocations. Previously, roles included Senior Specialist in Business Controlling and GL Process Controller, where responsibilities encompassed providing high-quality financial information and maintaining an overview of legal entity transactions. Sami's career began at Gigantti Oy as a Sales Representative and included a tenure as a Second Lieutenant in the Finnish Defence Forces. Sami holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Vaasa, expected to be completed in December 2023, along with training from the Reserve Officer School.
