Ira Weiss is a General Partner at Hyde Park Venture Partners, an early stage venture fund focused on software startups in the Midwest, since December 2011. In addition to this role, Ira serves as a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship and Accounting at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, teaching MBA students about venture capital investing and related subjects. Ira is actively involved in various organizations as an investor and board observer, including Slip Robotics, HData, Leap, LandscapeHub, and RoadSync, as well as serving as a board member for Audit Sight Inc. and ShipBob, Inc. Ira holds an MBA and PhD in Accounting and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Ira is a member of the Board of Trustees for Secure Illinois Retirements, a non-profit organization focused on public retirement solutions.
