Marcelo Burity has extensive experience in procurement and sourcing, particularly in the green coffee and cocoa sectors, gained through various roles at Nestlé. Starting as a Cocoa Buyer in Brasil in 1998, Marcelo progressed to positions such as Cocoa Purchasing Manager and Green Coffee Buyer in Europe. From 2011 to 2015, Marcelo served as Head of Procurement for Green Coffee and Origin Sourcing, coordinating the Global Coffee Procurement Team's activities with a focus on risk management and sustainability. Currently serving as Head of Green Coffee Development since July 2015, Marcelo has been instrumental in shaping procurement strategies and fostering supplier relationships. Marcelo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UFBA - Universidade Federal da Bahia, completed in 1995.
