Raluca Apostol

Raluca Apostol is the Chief Product Officer at Nestor, a position they have held since December 2018. Prior to Nestor, Raluca was the Co-Founder and Managing Director at Girls Who Code - Iasi from January 2017 to December 2018. In September 2015, Raluca co-founded Emojer, a mobile app that allows users to create animated emojis out of real photos, where they served as the Chief Product Officer until December 2018. From April 2013 to May 2018, Raluca was the Development Discipline Lead, Career Coach, and Professional Scrum Master at Endava. Raluca began their career as a Software Developer Engineer in Test at Embarcadero Technologies from October 2010 to September 2011. Raluca is also a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.

Raluca Apostol attended the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Information Technology, a Master of Science in Distributed Systems and Web Technologies, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computers and Information Technology with a focus on data mining and machine learning algorithms. Raluca also attended Y Combinator's Startup School Online, where they earned a certification in business administration, management and operations. In 2017, they were accepted into Y Combinator's S18 batch as an international business student. Upon graduating from the program, they received a certification from Y Combinator as an S18 batch alumna.
