Ian O’Shea

Ian has worked in international telecommunications for 23 years. He started his career with Ericsson in 1993 working as an O&M consultant for a number of Ericsson customers in USA, Canada, Holland and the UK. In 1998, Ian joined the Irish Mobile Network Operator Telefonica/O2 where he spent nine years in; operations, network planning, network optimisation and network performance. In 2005, Ian took up the role of IT Manager for the NGO, GOAL, in post Tsunami Sri Lanka, Sudan, Uganda, DRC and Malawi where he was responsible for satellite communications across these countries. Ian joined Altobridge in 2007 where he developed the Fully Management Services business unit. He went on to own and continue to develop Altobridge’s remote satellite backhauled GSM product portfolio. Ian is a qualified Electronic Engineering (University of Limerick) and has a diploma in Applied Project Management from the Institute of Project Management Ireland & University College Cork.
