Hans Bakker

Hans Bakker has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Hans started their career as an Assistent Controller EMEA and IT-specialist at Devoe Coatings (AkzoNobel) in 1992. After that, they worked as a Manager Finance & Information/Controller at Kalibra International B.V. from 1995 to 1998. Hans then moved on to General Electric Healthcare, where they served as a Finance Manager from 1998 to 2003. Hans then joined Vastgoed Transparant/The Common Factor as a Sr. Consultant and Financial Modeller from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, Hans started their own business, Hans Bakker Fotografie, where they worked as a Photographer and owner until 2015. From 2008 to 2017, Hans acted as an Owner and Consultant for their own business, Hans Bakker. From 2012 to 2017, Hans held the positions of Development/Finance Manager and COO at NET2GRID, a hi-tech startup focusing on Smart Energy, Home Automation, and Internet-of-Things hardware and services. After a brief period as a Scrum Master/Deep Learning evangelist at Reasult BV from 2015 to 2018, Hans joined NET2GRID again in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer.

Hans Bakker has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields. Hans first attended the University of Twente from 1984 to 1990, where they obtained an MSc degree in Business Administration & Computer Science. After this, in 1993, they pursued further education at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), completing a degree in Management Accounting (CMA) between 1993 and 1995.

Then, in 1997-1998, Hans obtained certification in Financial Management from the same institution. Prior to these higher education degrees, they obtained their VWO Diploma from Ring van Putten between 1977 and 1984, with a focus on Beta subjects.

Continuing their education, in 2000 they participated in an Advanced Financial Management Course at the GE Management Development Institute - Crotonville. Hans also completed a Controllership course at the same institution in the same year.

In recent years, Hans has pursued additional certifications. In 2017, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org. Additionally, they completed a Deep Learning Specialization course from Coursera between 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, they have earned several certifications from Coursera in specific machine learning topics, such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
