Jim Hixson is an experienced software engineering manager with a strong background in test and automation engineering. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at NetApp since March 2022, Jim has been instrumental in delivering key features for a Kubernetes and Go-based data storage management system. Prior roles include leading SSD firmware test engineering at Micron Technology, where a test automation framework was developed, and managing test engineering teams at Spectra Logic and DigitalGlobe to enhance testing processes and increase efficiency. Earlier experience includes overseeing development and SQA teams at Intrado and providing contract engineering services at multiple companies.
