Andrew Chen

Andrew Chen is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and system architecture. At Netflix, Andrew served as a Principal Software Engineer focused on content delivery, contributing to network measurement, IP geolocation, and the development of the control plane for the Netflix Open Connect content distribution network. Andrew also held the role of Senior Software Engineer in the Membership Platforms team, where responsibilities included architecting cloud-based solutions for secure customer identity management. Prior to Netflix, Andrew worked at Yahoo! Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where development efforts centered on fraud detection and risk management for electronic payments. Additionally, Andrew founded Divo Networks, a VoIP, game server, and co-location provider that operated across multiple U.S. cities. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
