Julia K.

Julia K. is an experienced professional in security engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of Security Platforms Engineering at Netflix since September 2019, and previously held multiple roles within the same organization. Julia is also an Organizer and Program Co-Lead for BSidesSF, contributing to event operations since 2023. In addition to this, Julia has served as an Advisor in Security at Mindr since January 2021. Prior to Netflix, Julia worked at Adobe from May 2011 to September 2019, where significant contributions included managing application security teams, architecting an enterprise SDLC, and implementing GDPR compliance across products. Julia's earlier roles at Adobe included application security analyst and security operations analyst, where Julia developed penetration testing programs and vulnerability management systems. Julia earned a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the same institution, complemented by international studies at the Universidad de Alcalá.
