Layne Austin

Layne Austin is an accomplished recruiting professional with substantial experience in talent acquisition and community organization. Currently serving as the Intern Recruiting Lead for Emerging Talent at Netflix since July 2021, Layne has also been involved with URx as a Community Organizer in San Francisco, focusing on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. Previous roles include MBA Recruiter at Salesforce, where responsibilities encompassed managing all aspects of MBA recruitment, and University Recruiter at Tesla, specializing in hiring students for various manufacturing and production internships. Layne's tenure at Genentech spanned multiple positions, including Program Manager for University Talent Acquisition and Strategy, overseeing intern recruiting processes and events. An award recipient of the "Recruiting Comet" award in FY22Q1, Layne is an active member of Outforce San Francisco. Education includes an MBA from the University of California, Davis, a BA in Communication and Media Studies from San Francisco State University, and an Associate's degree from Sierra College.
