Soshi Shimada is currently a Research Scientist at Netflix, starting in June 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Ph.D. candidate in the Visual Computing and Artificial Intelligence department at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics from October 2019 to March 2024. Soshi participated as a Research Intern at Google from June 2022 to December 2022 and worked as a Research Assistant in Machine Learning and Computer Vision at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) from October 2017 to September 2019. Soshi was also a Research member at MindGarage, a Deep Learning Laboratory in Kaiserslautern, from January 2017 to January 2019. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the Max Planck Society and a Master's degree in Computer Science (Intelligent System) from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
