Jonathan Somers

Jonathan Somers has over 30 years of experience in the technology and financial services industries. Jonathan began their career at NatWest in 1990 as a Programmer / Systems Analyst / Project Management Consultant. In 1992, they joined NCR Corporation as a Senior Project Manager. In 1998, they became the IT Projects Manager at Riyad Bank. In 2000, they were the Special Projects Manager at Expocentric. In 2001, they were the Client Executive at PeopleSoft, Inc. In 2005, they joined Misys as the Business Development Manager & Programme Manager - Africa. In 2009, they became the Client Engagement Sales Manager – Middle East and Africa at Temenos. In 2014, they became the Partners Manager / Regional Sales Manager at Finastra. In 2020, they joined NetGuardians as the MEA Regional Sales Director, leading a team of Sales, Pre-Sales and Account Managers.

Jonathan Somers has an extensive education history. Jonathan attended Westcliff High School for Boys from 1979 to 1986. Jonathan then went on to the University of Portsmouth and obtained a BSc (hons) in Psychology from 1987 to 1990. After that, they completed a Post-Graduate Masters Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University from 1995 to 1997. In addition, they obtained a Masters Certificate Project Management from George Washington University in September 1997 and a PMP Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in March 1995. Most recently, they completed the 2020 Programme in Artificial Intelligence from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2020.
