Rémy Schimmel Maillet-Contoz has a diverse work experience spanning 20 years in the financial and banking industry. In 2002, they began their career as a European Finance Graduate Program member at Kimberly-Clark. In 2005, they were a Pricing Analyst at Genworth. From 2006 to 2010, they held various roles at Lloyds Banking Group, including Senior Finance Business Partner, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Head of Finance, Global Network Banking. In 2010, they were appointed Director of Client MI at NatWest Group. In 2014, they were Chief Financial Officer at Coutts, and in 2016 they were Chief Financial Officer at Cembra Money Bank AG. In 2019, they were Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at id4. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Chief Financial Officer at NetGuardians.

Rémy Schimmel Maillet-Contoz has an extensive educational background. In 2003, they obtained an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the field of Accounting and Finance. From 2000 to 2002, they earned a Master of Sciences from HEC Montréal in International Finance. Prior to that, they obtained a Master from Ecole 3A - L'école internationale du management responsable in International Affairs from 1995 to 1999. Rémy also holds a 2020 Digital Mindset certification from the AICPA.
