Ellen van Schoten

Ellen van Schoten is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and governance roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Member of The Supervisory Board for the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest and Chair at the Netherlands eScience Center, Ellen also holds the position of Vice President of the Executive Board at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at the Autoriteit Financiële Markten, Secretary-General at the Netherlands Court of Audit, and several board positions at educational institutions and committees, including the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek and Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit. Ellen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and has furthered their education at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School and Cambridge Judge Business School.
