Sander van Rijn

Sander van Rijn is a skilled Research Software Engineer at the Netherlands eScience Center since December 2022 and has been a PhD Candidate at Leiden University since May 2016. Previous experience includes a role as a Junior Software Engineer at Incatec, where Sander focused on refactoring a large Python project, creating custom website backends with Flask, and porting an object-tracking pipeline from Python to C. Sander started at Leiden University as a Student Assistant, contributing to courses in Computer Science and Logic, and participated as a Research Intern at Denc Netherlands B.V. earlier in 2014. Leadership experience includes serving as Chairman and Treasurer at Stichting Rino. Sander holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Leiden University, with education completed from 2009 to 2016.
