To improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable through the transformative use of digital and technology— this is Scott Mills continuing personal pursuit.

Scott is a Senior Technology Executive with a strong background in global IT for development that is rooted in a life-long goal to achieve social impact.

He is currently the Global Chief Information Officer and partnership leader for technology and digital at World Vision, where he leads a diverse IT team in nearly 100 countries focused on improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children through the transformative use of digital and technology. Prior to joining World Vision, Scott was VP of Global IT for Conservation International, an NGO that protects the world’s natural resources to improve human well-being. Scott’s other senior leadership roles include CIO, VP of IT at AED (now part of FHI 360) where he led a global IT transformation encompassing over 80 countries.

Scott’s extensive international development experience has taken him to over 75 countries across the world utilizing technology to enable health, education, and conservation programs to help change the lives of those in need. Apart from working in the development sector, Scott’s early professional experiences included being the first Executive Director of IT at Trinity College, an All-Women’s Catholic University in Washington D.C., where he utilized technology to raise the level of learning and engagement for students and faculty alike.
