Håkon Bergene

Håkon Bergene has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology industries. Håkon began their career in the Norwegian Army as a Technical Officer, responsible for radiosystems. Håkon then worked for the Norwegian Army's procurement agency as a Senior Engineer, managing the procurement of a new advanced radio system. In 1997, they joined the Norwegian Defence Communications Agency as a Senior Engineer in the NATO infrastructure department, where they served as a project manager for the procurement of a new radar system.

In 1998, Håkon transitioned to the private sector and joined Tele2 Norway as a Support Systems Manager, responsible for internal support systems. Håkon later joined Port It ASA as a Sales Director, playing a key role in establishing and developing the company in the competitive telecommunications market. At Port It, they were responsible for all aspects of running a telecommunication service provider in Norway.

Håkon further expanded their experience in sales and management at Information Technology Advisors AS as a Senior Consultant, providing expertise to clients. Håkon then joined Owera AS as Vice President Sales EMEA, overseeing sales activities in the EMEA/APAC region. Owera was recognized as the 7th fastest-growing technology company in the Fast50 Ranking for the period 2002-2007.

In 2007, Håkon took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at IDENTEC SOLUTIONS Australia, where they helped establish the Australian subsidiary and build it into a self-sustaining business through knowledge transfer, partner establishment, and direct sales and marketing activities.

Most recently, Håkon has been serving as the Head of Networks at NetNordic Norge since 2009, where they lead the networks division of the company.

Throughout their career, Håkon has demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing, management, procurement, and project coordination, making him a valuable asset in the technology and telecommunications sectors.

Håkon Bergene began their education in 1987 at the Technical School Electronics within the Norwegian Army, where they pursued a degree in Electronics and Radio communication. Håkon completed this program in 1989. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, Håkon attended The University of Manchester, where they earned a B.Eng (Hon.) /Sivilingenior degree. During their time at Manchester, Håkon focused on Electronics with a specific emphasis on digital communications and cybernetics. In 2003, Håkon continued their education at Heriot-Watt University, where they pursued MBA courses. Håkon completed these courses in 2006.
