Ali Ahmed has a diverse background in the field of AI and data science. Ali is currently a co-founder at Qult Technologies, and prior to that, they held the role of Chief Data Scientist at NETSOL Technologies Inc. In addition, they worked as an independent consultant specializing in AI/ML research and engineering. Ali also has experience as a director at the Center of AI and Computational Science. Earlier in their career, they were a Chief Data Scientist at INTECH Automation & Intelligence, where they focused on developing predictive maintenance tools for the industrial internet of things (IIoT). Ali has also held academic positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including Assistant Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor, and Post-Doctoral Associate, where their research focused on the intersection of signal processing, machine learning, and optimization.

Ali Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 2006. In 2008, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Systems from the University of Michigan. From 2009 to 2013, Ali Ahmed pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in AI & Signal Processing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Following this, they completed a PostDoc at Brown University in 2014. Lastly, from 2015 to 2017, Ali Ahmed worked as a Research Scientist at the AI, Imaging, and Computing lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
