Walt Lane has a strong work experience in the technology industry. Walt founded and served as the President of NetStandard, Inc. since December 1996. In this role, they provided strategic technology solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, including managed technology services, virtual machines, cloud computing, and data center services. Walt Lane also founded TFSnet, Inc. in February 1987, where they served as the CEO until January 1996. TFSnet was Kansas City's first privately owned Internet Service Provider, and Walt Lane successfully built the company from the ground up, expanding its services across a 200-mile region from Kansas City. Walt also had the opportunity to speak as a keynote at international events held at major venues.

Walt Lane attended Kansas State University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Management and Operations.
