Steve Karmeinsky

Steve Karmeinsky is a technology advisor, mentor, and director with more than three decades of experience across the telecoms, Internet, and startup ecosystems. They currently serve as a director at Placeholder Ltd and OpenStreetMap, are a program committee member for NetUK, and are a member of UKWISPA, while mentoring with MassChallenge and TechStars London. Their past leadership includes Head of Product Futures at Demon Internet (1995-2005) and involvement with early Internet initiatives, and they have mentored at accelerator programs including Ignite100, Springboard London, Seedcamp, and TechStars London. They hold a BSc in Microelectronics and Information Processing from the University of Brighton (1984-1988) and completed A levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at UCS (1971-1980).
