Matthew Bird

Matthew Bird has extensive experience in the housing industry, with their most recent position being the New Business & Sales Director at Network Homes since December 2020. Prior to this role, they held the position of New Business & Partnerships Director from September 2018 to December 2020, and before that, they were the Head of New Business at Network Homes from April 2016 to September 2018.

Before joining Network Homes, Matthew worked at Marsh & Parsons as the Associate Director - Head of Affordable Housing from June 2015 to April 2016, and at Peabody as the Head of New Business from October 2014 to June 2015. Prior to that, they held various roles at Peabody, including Senior Development Manager from February 2014 to October 2014, and Development Manager from August 2010 to February 2014.

Matthew's early career includes positions at Raven Housing Trust, where they worked as a Senior Development Officer from June 2009 to August 2010, and at Hexagon Housing Association, where they were a Development Officer from March 2008 to June 2009. Matthew began their career at Peabody as an Estate Manager from January 2007 to March 2008.

Matthew Bird received their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, where they attended from 1999 to 2003. Matthew later pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Urban Regeneration from the University of Westminster, completing their studies in 2009.
