Executive Assistant to Derik Murray at Network Media Group

Lydia Anderson is the Executive Assistant to Network Entertainment’s CEO, Derik Murray. Lydia plays a key role in the administrative functions of the company and is an integral touchpoint for Network’s entertainment partners, VIPs, talent, directors, producers, and more.

Lydia studied Communications and Media Studies, with a specialization in video production, at Concordia University in Montreal, and graduated with distinction in 2016. She has now worked in the film and telecommunications industries for over five years.

During her time in academia, Lydia held the position of Arts Editor at The Concordian newspaper. As a journalist, she scouted, wrote, edited, and published articles herself, while also managing a team of writers and editing all submissions.

She began her career after university at Bell Media as a Brand Ambassador. There, she quickly rose through the ranks and, within six months, became the Morning Show Assistant Producer at Vancouver’s #1 hit music station, 94.5 Virgin Radio, and soon thereafter, its Morning Show Producer.

She continued to work in radio part-time as she branched out to further explore another passion of hers, the world of film. She began her film journey as a Production Assistant on four major film/TV productions, and then a Training Assistant Director. During her first six months of film work, she was promoted to On Set Key Production Assistant, 3rd Assistant Director, and 2nd Assistant Director. Lydia then joined Network Entertainment in December 2021.
