Byron Higgins

Byron Higgins is a Consultant - Junior Project Engineer at Network Rail Consulting since April 2023, focusing on the European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 for the Digital System Project and collaborating with the Traffic Management System (TMS) team. Prior experience includes a secondment as a Graduate ETCS Engineer at Network Rail from September 2022 to March 2023, assisting with the ETCS Level 2 rollout on the UK's East Coast Main Line. Byron also held the position of Graduate ETCS Engineer at Network Rail Consulting from March 2020 to September 2022, continuing work on ETCS Level 2 development. Previous roles include an Undergraduate Engineer at Energy Developments, Crew Trainer at McDonald's, Sales Assistant at Brookefield Produce & Pet Pavilion, and Intern at Thiess. Byron holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and additionally completed a Bachelor's degree in the same field at the State University of New York at Oswego in 2017.
