Christian Houghton

Christian Houghton is a Senior Asset Engineer (Geotechnics) at Network Rail since May 2021, bringing extensive experience in geotechnical engineering. Previously, Christian served in various roles at Amey from April 2014 to May 2021, including LNW & LNE Earthworks Route Manager, Principal Geotechnical Engineer, and Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Prior experience includes a position as Project Engineer at Coffey Geotechnics from September 2006 to April 2014. Christian is skilled in engineering geological and geotechnical investigations, rock slope inspections, and monitoring programmes, along with a strong background in compliance with PPC licences and factual reporting. A graduate of the University of Portsmouth, Christian holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Engineering Geology & Geotechnics.
